Diesel Women's Skirts

"Gonna" is Italian for skirt, and it turns up on a couple of these labels — the same habit that gives you camicia on the shirts and abito on the dresses. The letter in front tells you the material: L means leather. It's a small thing, but it tells you where a piece sits before you open it.

Denim is the core of the selection. R-Modung is a black denim pencil cut, DE-Ron a low-rise bodycon mini, and DE-Ronny a mid-length pencil in white. All three take the same waist sizing as Diesel jeans, from 24 upward, so if you know your denim size you already know your skirt size. They're also the easiest to place — a denim skirt works with a tee and trainers in much the same way the jeans do.

At the other end, L-Briana is a high-waisted skirt in genuine leather and L-Darice a high-waisted mini, with O-Ambra covering the same look in faux leather at a lower price. Leather works hardest from autumn onwards, over tights and under a knit or a jacket, and the faux option is the sensible way in if you're not sure the shape suits you.
